This is my first pair of DL1961 jeans and I have to say, they are quite fabulous. They really do a good job at sculpting your body, making you look svelte and toned. They flatten my tummy and contour the waist, make my legs look slim, and make my butt look even more bubbly and round. If you have a bigger butt, these can make your butt look a bit wide from the back though, but they still look great.The Florence however, is NOT an ultra skinny jean, just a regular skinny. These have a leg opening of 10.5 inches. If you're looking for an ultra skinny, look for jeans with a leg opening of 10 inches and under. These have a flattering midrise and standard 30 inch inseam.I will say though, that if you're a fan of being 'held in' by your jeans, order a size up. My regular 25 fits and feels fine, but I think I would definitely benefit from ordering a size up. Seems to be the case for jeans from this brand from the reviews I've read.The Florence is described as a high rise jean on the DL site. I would call the mid rise at best, and that's even a bit of a stretch. For comparison they are lower then Old Navy mid rise rock star style. Post baby 2 I'm a little less svelte then I used to be, so ordered these in a 30 rather than my usual 29 in designer jeans. The 30 is too large in the waist and too roomy elsewhere so I sent back and am trying a size 29. For reference I'm 5'7 about 145 lbs, athletic hourglass build. They are definitely a little on the short side - not long enough to scrunch up at the bottom- but would work fine tucked into boots. Nice mid blue color and authentic looking distressing.This is my 2nd pair of DL1961 jeans & they are definitely superior to other jeans. After getting a pair of DLs, I see why people pay an outrageous amount for jeans. My old jeans that I've loved for years, feel like an awful, hanging slab of material compared to DL1961 jeans. My other pair is a boot-cut & also fabulous. This is my 1st pair of truly "skinny" jeans & they are amazing; they have give, feel soft & comfy (quality fabric), along w/being well made & sexy. True to size...I'm a size 4 (28), which is what I ordered & the fit is perfect.I really like these jeans, and the quality is good, but the stretch factor is nuts. After about ten minutes of wearing them, they grow two sizes. When I first tried these on, I thought they fit nicely, but now that I have had them about a month, they just are not flattering after the first few minutes. I am going to buy two sizes down and see what happens.I really like the material of these jeans, but the fit is somewhat large and inconsistent with other DL1961 jeans that I have. The waist felt a bit larger and gaped a bit against my waist area. In addition, the leg wasn't as form fitting as I usually like. That being said, loved the style of the jeans, and the black wash did not fade after wearing them for about half a year.This is what I first thought:Please don’t ever stop making these!! Now after washing and wearing a couple months, I have docked two stars. These jeans are NOT worth the price. They are soft and comfortable, but if you’re looking for skinny jeans that hold their stretch, these do not. Very disappointed since I sank so much money into just another pair of mediocre jeans. Very disappointed.The Florence's were my first pair of DL1961 jeans and they are exactly what I was hoping they would be! I originally ordered a size 26, which is what I typically wear in jeans, however they were a little looser than I preferred so I exchanged them for a 25 which fit perfectly. They are the perfect rise, color, and fit. These jeans become softer every time I wear them without losing their shape and elasticity. I LOVE my DL1961's and would recommend them to anyone, especially as a first pair of designer jeans.I like these jeans, they fit pretty well and I don't have to pull the up all day! At this price point though, they really should wow me and they don't.Amazing material which stretches but retains its shape. So soft to touch and wear. The only skinny jeans you’ll want to put on.As beautiful as these jeans were, I had ordered my usual size 28 but received size 26 so they had to be returned.These jeans are my second pair and are very soft and comfortable to wear. The dark wash is nice and the distressing isn't overdone. Fits a curvy woman perfectly.Super fit for tall, curvy women.J'ai adoré mes jeans
