Definitely size down.I've been eyeing these for a while but wasn't sure if they would be the right fit or if they would have any stretch to them but they are actually pretty comfortable and cute. As far as the quality goes, it is not expensive looking or cheap looking but the denim does look like it has some stretch to it( some may consider that to be cheap looking). I have the blue denim and it goes well with blazers, t-shirts, you name it. Best of all, you don't have to worry about your goods hanging out. I wouldn't mind getting these in other colors.I ordered these Vanberfia women’s jean shorts for one of our daughters and she says that she likes the black color, the distressed, ripped and mid waist design and the styling of the two back pockets. Our daughter says that she likes raw cut edges of the hem and the zipper closure and the button. She says she likes that these stretchy denim shorts fit her pretty well and she says that they are comfortable to wear, easy to put on and take off as needed. Our daughter does like that the texture of the fabric is soft, smooth and gentle on skin. She says she has only had them on for a few days but that so far, so good, as she likes to lounge around the home and for a casual outing. Our daughter says that she likes that the shorts appear to be made with good quality denim, polyester and spandex materials and they seem to be durable, stylish and easy for her to move around in them. For the quality and the price point, she says they appear to be good value for bucks. I would recommend them.These are cute and comfortable to wear around the house but a little too short for me personally to feel comfortable wearing in public. I’m almost 50 and nobody wants to see my saggy old bum cheeks but I’m sure these would look amazing on someone with younger, firmer skin
