THese pants are very comfortable. The fabric is wonderful and like all NYJD they are well made.I wore these in July in Ohio and I was more comfortable in these than in other cotton pants. Plus, they're nice enough to wear out to a nice restaurant or a party. The only thing that keeps them from being 5 stars is the fit. I am a 14-16 and I went with the 14 on these. They were so big I had my sister take them in 2 inched in the waist and they're still big!So if you're between sizes, I'd go one down. These NYDJ Women's Wylie Trouser Jeans are a HUGE disappointment to me. They don't fit properly in the waist, hips OR the legs! I ordered 12, which I normally wear in NYDJ, but they're huge!?! Plus, they're Wayyyyyyy long in the legs. They just look like I'm wearing my big sister's "hand me downs" & it's just an ugly & dumpy look on me.In addition, it's hard to believe how easily the fabric wrinkles. I washed & dried them in hopes they would shrink some, but they didn't. So because they were so wrinkled, I decided to iron them in hopes that would help........ However, just putting them on made them wrinkled as though I had slept in them!!!! I've never really seen a fabric so prone to wrinkle nor pants to be so far off size wise!!!I gave it a 2 Star bc I didn't want to be rude by giving it a 1 Star rating that it so definitely deserved. As others have mentioned, these will stretch a bit throughout the day but I didn't mind that. I actually have 4 pairs of these in different color because I like them so much. When a top blouses over them, they can dress up an outfit. I now where almost NYDJ exclusively (both tops and bottoms) because I have not found a brand that understands my shape like NYDJ. What a relief. Here's me (and I don't mind sharing if it helps someone else):I am 49post-menopausal (hysterectomy at 38)thicker middleno hipsNYDJ understands how to accommodate my lack of hips, butt and thicker middle. These large pockets on the back of the trouser jean (although these do not feel like jeans in any way) help to accentuate the booty for those of us who are lacking. For me, these are a perfect option.Thank you NYDJ!I love this brand of pants. They do run large, so my "fit as expected" is due to the fact that I ordered a size smaller. I normally wear a six, ordered a 4 and they fit great. They do stretch out during the day so are looser at the end of the day. They are light and comfortable. I also ordered the otter brown. Great for spring, summer & early fall.I am generally a big fan of NYDJ. I am slightly between sizes 10 and 12, chose 12 for this pant as tight and white are not a great combination, especially at this size. They fit with a very slight gap at the waist at the beginning of the day - to the extent some light tailoring would make them just fine - but a close fit in the rear and thighs. In the middle of the day, they are dramatically looser than at the start of the day, falling around my hips, gapping at the rear and loose in the thighs so that they look sloppy and are uncomfortable. I don't know what washing will do, but I am not optimistic, and I'm not sure getting a 10 would have made a difference, and I'm not sure that tailoring could save these....Finally found the brown color in NJDJ linen trousers that I have been looking for. This is my 4th pair of NYDJ linen trousers that I have bought. They are very comfortable, well made as usual and the color is just the brown I wanted. My only problem with this brand is I have to shorten each pair by 4 inches. But they are worth it.Love the fabric, but it was way larger than a usual 10. Went to an 8.Then a 6 -perfect and scarysince nothing has changed for 6 years since my usual was a 4. But my usual 6's were now an eight 8Who cares? Love the feel and fabric. New sizing occurs every 4 or so yearsBest spring/summer/fall jeans EVER. Lightweight but not limp with just a tad of stretch. High waist; doesn't gap in the back, great workmanship and quality. They feel as comfy as Mom-jeans but don't look it. Good room in the thighs. If you like your pants tight order a size down. If you like them to fit smoothly without being stuffed like sausage, buy your usual size. Oh - they are VERY VERY LONG. I'm 5'7 and I cut off, no kidding, 8 inches. But they're easy to hem properly and still look like they came straight from the store.
